The cave is located in the middle of Bahnina Mountain within Batofa sub-district. This cave is old and very large containing fresh water springs. During the Kurdish struggle, the cave was used as a hospital for the valiant Peshmerga during their struggle against previous Baathist rule in (1973), and it was also used to treat the injured from the Kurdish people. It lies 25 kilometers from Zakho.
