Erbil International Airport
With the opening of the Erbil International Airport (EIA) in 2005, Erbil started to reclaim its historic position along one of the world's most important trade routes. Already a gateway between the Kurdish Region and the world, EIA has thr capacity of three million passengers, and one of the world's longest runways, designed to accommodate the Airbus A380 and cargo aircraft of that class. EIA continiues to develop and expend, and facilities are constantly being added and improved.
Sulaymaniyah International Airport
This airport, connecting Sulaimani to the world, was built by the KRG in Bakrajo near Sulaimani which arranges daily trips to many countries as well as cargo transport.
