The museum is located inside the Erbil Citadel. It exhibits artifacts which demonstrate an ancient tradition within Kurdish culture: spinning and weaving. Exhibits include clothing, fabrics, raw materials, and wool dyed naturally using wild plants and flowers. Some of the exhibits are several centuries old.
