Sarsang, a tourist town north of Gara mountain, is 54 kilometers far from Duhok city in the vicinity of other tourist towns; Ashawa, Anishki and Solav. It is surrounded by high mountains and trees while local hotels, motels, restaurants and a large market cater to visitors needs. The town is also home to a castle King Faysal I had built, which is still being visited by tourists.
